At Camera Kangaroo, we understand that you're investing in a used film camera and we want to ensure you have the best possible experience. That's why we offer a 30-Day Defect-Free Guarantee for our used film cameras.

If you discover any mechanical or electronic defects within 30 days of receiving your camera, we'll have your back. As long as the issue isn't caused by accidental damage or misuse, we'll cover the return and work with you to find a suitable solution.

Our 30-day return policy means you have a full month to inspect and enjoy your camera. To be eligible for a return, the camera must be in the same condition as when you received it, with no signs of wear or damage caused by the user.

To initiate a return due to a defect, please contact us at hello@camerakangaroo.com.au and provide your receipt or proof of purchase. Once your return is approved, we'll send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send the camera. Please note that items sent back to us without prior approval will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including perishable goods (such as photographic film, paper, chemistry, food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Due to the nature of photographic film, paper, and chemistry, these items are also considered perishable goods and are non-refundable or exchangeable. We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Change of Mind Returns
At Camera Kangaroo, we strive to provide detailed descriptions and high-quality images of all our products to ensure you can shop with confidence. We understand, however, that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations. While we're always here to assist with any concerns you might have, it's important to note our policy on 'Change of Mind' returns.

Policy on Change of Mind:

  • Right to Deny: We reserve the right to deny a return if the product is in working condition and matches the description provided at the time of purchase. This means that if you change your mind about a product but it functions as advertised and has no defects, a return for a refund or exchange may not be possible.
  • Product Condition: For a change of mind return to be considered, the product must be in the same condition as when it was received. This includes the original packaging and all accompanying accessories.

  • Discretionary Consideration: While our policy is to deny change of mind returns on working and accurately described products, each request will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. We aim to be fair and transparent in all our dealings and will consider exceptional circumstances.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
